MRO Customer Services Representative

Reporting to: Operations Manager

Work Base: TBC – Birmingham

Work Hours : Monday to Thursday 8 till 4 and Friday 8 till 3

Hiring Manager : Joe Madden

Shift : Day

Travel : None – Remote working initially

Remuneration : £20,000-£22,000

Job Description:

Ensure that all Customer orders are packed and shipped for ECS UK Spare parts. Occasional customer order management required and exception management and resolution.

Key activities:
 
• Contract review customer packing requirements.

• Resolve any issues or queries with orders/shipping via the customer spares desk.

• Resolve any shipping issues with freight forwarding agents.

• Ensure orders are shipped in accordance with GTC restrictions.

• Communication/booking to customer freight forwarding agents.

• Resolve customer AWB and shipping queries.

• Work with Finance Shared Services to resolve case disputes.

• Occasional customer order management support to the spares desk.

• Attendance at Customer meetings & internal Business Unit meetings if required.

• Support ongoing or ad-hoc project work.

 

Experience:
 
Worked in a customer facing role before and also used SAP.

Personal Attributes:

• Be able to confidently manage customer/business expectations.

• Have excellent interpersonal skills at all levels.

• Be able to work well under pressure.

• Good decision making.

• Be driven to deliver and sustain results.

Education/Qualifications:

Be computer literate, especially in Microsoft packages. Used SAP before. Good written/spoken English.

Transport Logistics Manager

Description

Reporting into the Head of Logistics you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Transport Logistics Division ensuring own fleet utilisation is maximised, planning and overseeing routes for maximum efficiency, managing and building collection & delivery routes for our regional custmer base and proficiently managing a supply chain of regional, national and international partnered carriers and freight forwarders as well as liaising with customers and troubleshooting and problems as they are escalated to you.

Responsibilities

  • Management of a team of Logistics Planners including 1×1’s, coaching, development and mentoring
  • Generating growth within the transport logistics function through best in class service delivery, customer service and cost effective transport planning
  • Managing third party logistics providers, ensuring customer needs are fulfilled through delivery and operational performance
  • Dealing with customer queries as a point of escalation and assisting with exception management such as lost consignments or 3rd party carrier problems.
  • Designing geographic logistics networks and utilising own and 3rd party fleet to deliver lowest cost service delivery
  • Managing the onboarding procedure for new clients including delivery, collection, system administration and customer services introduction.
  • Winning and allocating out of hours courier work to PM shift drivers for same day and exceptional services.
  • Managing a fleet of vehicles including planned service, maintenance, inspection and supplier liaison to maximise fleet efficiency and reliability.
  • Managing a budgeted 3pl Spend and GPM – delivering targeted profit margin and growth within transport logistics.
  • Supporting the strategic growth targets of the business in the Transport Logistics division
  • Generating reports on transport revenue, GPM and fleet utilisation
  • Leading the line on EU import and export compliance and building a seamless customer solution for EU freight forwarding
